The lining monogram was an update of Gucci's earlier Diamante design. The Diamante motif was first used on luggage in the 1930s, when a leather shortage in Italy forced the enterprising Guccio Gucci to innovate with materials such as woven hemp.
Pre owned, in fair condition. I used it quite a lot for many years and has held up pretty well. It still has a lot of life in it. Outward appearance looks great. Must inspect closely to see flaws.
Patent leather drawstring has cracks. Some wear on the patent leather trim and piping. Clean on the inside. Bottom has a few marks on the bottom. Please check all pictures!
